Pre Marital Agreements
Preparing and reviewing Pre Marital Agreements in anticipation of marriage. These agreements can become very important as they allow the parties to make their own rules as to what would happen in the event they choose to divorce at a later time. California is a community property state but a Pre Marital Agreement can change that and allow the parties to keep their own assets and income, or divide them as they wish instead of following general California law. In that over half of the marriages today end in divorce, this is a viable option for those who have assets and income they would like to protect in that eventuality. These agreements are prepared in a non adversarial environment and in support of a happy marriage.

Attorney as Divorce Advisor / Consultant
Rick Rabbin offers consultations to people in need of legal advice but who cannot or do not want to hire an attorney to represent them. This is billed at an hourly rate on a “pay-as-you-go” plan. The attorney does not represent the individual in this situation, but rather assists and guides her/him through the process with whatever information is needed. The individual comes to seek out this guidance and information whenever it is desired. Sessions are billed by the hour at half-hour increments for as long as it is necessary for the individual to speak with the attorney. This is charged on a hourly rate with no retainer required. The individual pays each time Mr. Rabbin is consulted.
